\"\"

These easy no-knead bread rolls are made with just a spoon—no hand kneading required. They have a crispy golden crust and a light, airy interior, making them perfect for sandwiches or serving with soup.

Ingredients

  • 200 ml water
  • 3 g active dry yeast
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 250 g bread flour
  • 5 g salt
  • Olive oil (for coating the spoon)
  • Water (for brushing)
  • White sesame seeds or your favorite seeds

Instructions

1. Activate the Yeast

Pour the water into a large mixing bowl.

Add the yeast, stir well, and let it sit for 5 minutes.

2. Make the Dough

Add the olive oil.

Sift in the bread flour and salt.

Mix with a silicone spatula until a very wet, sticky dough forms.

Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.

3. First Rise

After 30 minutes, stir the dough again until it becomes smoother and more elastic.

Cover and let rise until doubled in size, about 1½ hours.

4. Shape the Rolls

Dip a stainless steel spoon into olive oil.

Use the spoon to scoop portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking tray.

I made 7 rolls, but the number depends on the size of your spoon.

5. Final Proof

Cover the rolls and let them proof for another 30 minutes.

Brush the tops lightly with water.

6. Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 230°C (450°F) for 15–18 minutes, or until beautifully golden brown.

7. Serve

Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving.

Enjoy warm, or cool completely before storing.
